BARRIERS
While there are growing networks of support and
visibility, trans residents often face barriers that stem from longstanding societal biases and a lack of understanding. The community's endeavor for acceptance is coupled with efforts to ensure access to necessary services, such as healthcare tailored to their needs, which remains a significant hurdle. Many trans youth experience isolation and struggle to find affirming spaces where they can express themselves without fear. Bullying and discrimination in schools are concerns
that accentuate the need for educational programs promoting inclusion.
